Haleridge Commercial Capital, a small-business funding service in Las Vegas, Nevada, offers an equipment payment calculator for machine shops and fabricators in Clark County, NV. It estimates the monthly payment and total cost, including the down payment, from a price, down payment, rate and term. Real terms come only from a partner.
What the calculator does
The calculator takes four inputs: the equipment price, the down payment, an annual rate and the term in months. It returns the monthly payment and the total cost, which includes the down payment. It works for any machine, not only CNC equipment.
Inputs, explained
- Price: the quoted price. Add rigging and installation if you expect them to be financed.
- Down payment: what you pay up front.
- Rate: an assumed annual rate for planning. A partner sets the real one.
- Term: how many monthly payments, e.g. 48 or 60.
CNC machine financing calculator: what it leaves out
The calculator does not include fees, taxes, insurance or lease end-of-term options. It also does not estimate how much revenue a machine will produce. Work those out separately:
- List the fees an offer includes and add them to total cost.
- Estimate hours a week of work the machine will take on.
- Multiply by your shop rate and compare with the monthly payment.
Used CNC machine financing and the numbers
Used machines can cost less, but a partner may offer a shorter term for an older machine, which raises the payment. Try the calculator with a shorter term to see the effect. For more on used equipment, see the machine shop page and the equipment financing page.
From estimate to request
When the numbers work, call Haleridge or send the form with the quote. The Nevada record guides are collected on the resources page.
A worked check of the calculator
Illustration only: a $120,000 machine with $12,000 down leaves $108,000 to finance. Try a planning rate and a 60-month term in the calculator, note the payment, then try 48 months. The shorter term raises the payment and lowers the total cost. Neither figure is an offer; a partner sets the actual terms after reviewing the shop.
